Hot fix download A17001 addresses the issue(s) in SAS Forecast Server 3.1 on Windows as documented in the Issue(s) Addressed section of the hot fix download page:

This hot fix download consists of individual hot fix packages for the following software components:

A47001 - SAS Forecast Server Mid-Tier 3.1
A48001 - SAS Forecast Studio 3.1

Before applying this hot fix, follow the instructions in SAS Note 35968 to generate a SAS Deployment Registry report, then verify that the appropriate product releases are installed on your system. The software components and release numbers should match the list of software components updated by the individual hot fix installers.



IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. You must have SAS Forecast Server 3.1 installed on your system before applying this hot fix.

  2. Files delivered in this hot fix will be backed up during the installation process. However, it is good general practice to back up your system before applying updates to software.

  3. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine.

  4. All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix.

  5. This hot fix should be installed using the same userid who performed the initial software installation.


INSTALLATION

  1. The A17001wn.exe hot fix download package is a self-extracting zip file that contains individual hot fix packages for the components listed above.
    Copy this file to your location of choice, then extract the contents by double-clicking on the A17001wn.exe file.

    This will create the directory C:\A17001 which contains the following files:
    A47001wn.exe
    A48001wn.exe
  2. Copy A17001\A47001wn.exe to each machine where SAS Forecast Server Mid-Tier 3.1 is installed.
    Copy A17001\A48001wn.exe to each machine where SAS Forecast Studio 3.1 is installed.

  3. To install each individual hot fix, double-click on the .exe file. This will initiate the installation wizard, which will guide you through the hot fix installation process.
