INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX BUNDLE E9BX03 WINDOWS for IPF (64bit) IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) and SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4 installed on your system before applying this hot fix bundle. 2. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine. 3. All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix bundle. 4. It is recommended that you make a back-up of your SAS installation before applying this hot fix bundle. 5. If E9BX03 is being applied to a SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) image located on a SERVER, then you must confirm that the same "version" of "sashost.dll" which is installed on the SERVER is also installed in the !SASROOT directory (the directory where SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) is installed) on each CLIENT. Information on the "version" of "sashost.dll" is available by viewing the "properties" of sashost.dll. If the version numbers between SERVER and CLIENT do not match, simply copy sashost.dll from the SERVER to the CLIENT. 6. BASE SAS hot fixes which are NOT included in hot fix bundle E9BX03, identified at http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/e9_w64_dbcs_base_whats_new_since_bundle.html may have files in common with E9BX03. The files within the hot fixes will likely be "newer" than those in E9BX03. If you install E9BX03 AFTER installing a BASE SAS hot fix which is not included in E9BX03, you may see a "File not copied: " error on the E9BX03 installer confirmation screen. This is expected for any files that are common between E9BX03 and a "newer" hot fix. AFTER DOWNLOADING: The bundle package downloaded is a self extracting executable named e9bx03w6.exe. Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, which will guide you through the setup process. This completes the installation of BASE SAS Hot Fix Bundle E9BX03 on Windows for IPF.
