INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX E9BD12 ON WINDOWS BEFORE DOWNLOADING: The hot fix E9BD12 addresses the issue(s) in SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) of Base SAS software on Windows as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/e9_dbcs_prod_list.html#e9bd12 IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) and SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 2. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine. 3. All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix. 4. If E9BD12 is being applied to a SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) image located on a SERVER, then you must confirm that the same "version" of "sashost.dll" which is installed on the SERVER is also installed in the !SASROOT directory (the directory where SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) is installed) on each CLIENT. Information on the "version" of "sashost.dll" is available by viewing the "properties" of sashost.dll. If the version numbers between SERVER and CLIENT do not match, simply copy sashost.dll from the SERVER to the CLIENT. AFTER DOWNLOADING: The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named e9bd12wn.exe. Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, which will guide you through the setup process.
