INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX E9BB59 ON WINDOWS IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) and SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 2. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine. 3. All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix. AFTER DOWNLOADING: The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named e9bb59wn.exe. Launching the executable will install the following files in c:\e9bb59: * ms932.dpo * cr8dbtab.sas * e9bb59wn.txt (a copy of these installation instructions) Invoke SAS and run c:\e9bb59\cr8dbtab.sas. If you would like to continue using this user trantab, then MS932 should be added to the trantab option in the config file. For example: -trantab (,,,,,,,,,MS932) If this hot fix needs to be applied to a BI environment, the DBCS catalog should be created in SASHELP rather than SASUSER. By default, the catalog name is SASUSER.DBCS. In order to do so, make sure you have write permissions to the SASHELP directory and add CATALOG=SASHELP.DBCS to the proc DBCSTAB statement. For Example: PROC DBCSTAB DATA=MS932 VERIFY DBLANG=JAPANESE BASETYPE=PCMS TABLE=MS932 CATALOG=SASHELP.DBCS; RUN; This completes the installation of hot fix E9BB59 on Windows.
