INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 82CT09 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 82CT09 addresses the issue(s) in Release 8.2 (TS2M0) 
of SAS/CONNECT software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-005062 "Warning: Current token length of x is not supported;
                token has been truncated"   
      SN-006280 Transfer of catalogs between different host platforms
                causes segmentation violations   
      SN-006288 ERROR: COMMUNICATION SUBSYSTEM PROTOCOL ERROR: SEND
                ATTEMPTED IN RECEIVE STATE.   
      SN-007063 Numeric Value is Byte-Swapped with Upload Procedure     
      SN-007192 SIGNOFF command for MPConnect session causes SAS to
                hang on DBCS systems     
      SN-007725 SAS Stray Processes remaining on Remote Hosts     
      SN-009775 'Write Access Violation in Task (CONNECT)' when performing
                a control break of a PROC UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD within SAS/CONNECT   
      SN-010167 Remote submit of 29 or more %sysrput statements may
                result in "OUT OF RESOURCES" error.   
      SN-010727 Client/Server processes can hang when an asynchronous

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Release 8.2 (TS2M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine
    and all currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers
    must be terminated before applying this hot fix.


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
82ct09wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * saszrlnk.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasxdmr.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * 82ct09wn.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system

      * 82ct09wn.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 



This completes the installation of hot fix 82CT09 on Windows.
