SN-006019 ***Alert Note***
PROC FACTOR METHOD=ML ULTRAHEYWOOD results will be incorrect when a
communality estimate exceeds 1
Product: SAS/STAT
Component: FACTOR procedure
Priority: ALERT
If you specify both the METHOD=ML and ULTRAHEYWOOD options on the PROC
FACTOR statement, and if any of the communalities in the final iteration
are greater than 1, then all results of the factor analysis are
incorrect.
In the sample excerpt below, note that in the 7th (final) iteration,
one of the communalities is 1.03682. Since it is greater than one, and
since both METHOD=ML and ULTRAHEYWOOD were specified, the remainder of
the analysis results will be incorrect.
