    SN-005697 ***Alert Note***

VIEWTABLE, Table Viewer, and Data Table WHERE clauses may return
    incorrect results through SAS/SHARE RLS

    Product: SAS/SHARE
    Component: SAS/C compiler transient library
    Priority: ALERT

When scrolling through a remote SAS data set one row at a time using
either a Table Viewer control with a SAS Data Set Model, a Data Table
object within a SAS/AF FRAME entry, or the VIEWTABLE window, rows of the
remote data set may be erroneously omitted.

All of the following conditions must exist in order to experience this

      1) The remote data library is allocated through a SAS/SHARE server.
      2) The remote data set has been opened in edit mode.
      3) One or more indexes exist in the data set.
      4) A WHERE clause has been applied on the indexed variable.
      5) The number of rows in the WHERE filter's result set fail to
all fit inside a single screen.

To circumvent this problem, eliminate any one of the above conditions
from the processing. Other alternatives include: view the data set
in the FSVIEW window, use form view mode of a VIEWTABLE window, a form
viewer with the SAS data set model or a data form object.
