Enterprise Reporter 2.5 SAS System Edition does not work properly when
installed on the SAS System Release 8.2.

If you install Enterprise Reporter Software Release 2.5, SAS System
Edition on top of the SAS Sytem, Release 8.2, you must install the
Service Pack 2 for Enterprise Reporter 2.5 in order for the software to
work properly. Without the service pack, strange problems will occur.
For example, you will be unable to drag and drop report data items from
the report data window to a table object. It will appear to be dragging
the data correctly onto the table but the data items will not appear on
the table when you drop them. There will be no error messages displayed
in the log. However, you may receive a SAS Message Log window that
displays a variety of error messages when you exit Enterprise Reporter.
You can download Service Pack 2 for Enterprise Reporter 2.5 from the SAS
website (http://www.sas.com). Select Service and Support, then select
Demos and Downloads. Under the 'SAS System Software Products', select
Business Solutions. Under 'Version 8 of the SAS Sytem Software', there
is a subheading called 'Enterpise Reporter'. Under 'Enterprise
Reporter', select Service Pack 2 of the Enterprise Reporter 2.5.
Download the Service Pack and apply it to your Enterprise Reporter 2.5
installation.
