SN-003657 ALERT NOTE
WHERE clause in FSEDIT may find a match when it should not on OS/390
Product: Base SAS
Component: SAS data library I/O
Priority: ALERT
If your data set is defined to a SAS/SHARE server that has been started
in Version 8 TSLEVEL M0 of SAS and you apply a WHERE clause in the
FSEDIT procedure of SAS/FSP software that includes a variable by which
your data is sorted, the WHERE clause may find matches when it should
not.
This is not a problem if the client is started in a SAS session whose
release is later than Version 8 TSLEVEL M0.
To circumvent the problem, specify the following system option in the
SAS/SHARE server's session to disable the WHERE sorted-by optimization:
options debug='yoew_opt=1';
run;
Keywords:
share fsp fsedit where clause find match obs observations incorrect
