SN-001199 *** ALERT NOTE *** PRODUCT: WAREHOUSE
TITLE: Invalid results from Warehouse Administrator generated OLAP code
KEYS: WAREHOUSE ADMINISTRATOR OLAP MERGE UPDATE INVALID RESULTS WA SAS/WA
SUMMARY MISSING CLASS TABLE SQL JOIN _TYPE_ TYPE ON
You may get incorrect results when using SAS/Warehouse Administrator to
perform a merge/update of an OLAP table that has multiple crossings.
Extraneous records with missing values occur in the final table of the
merge/update. The number of extraneous records may increase if there
are missing class values in the input table. This problem does not
affect OLAP MDDB's or OLAP tables that contain only single crossings.
The cause of the problem is a missing _TYPE_ column in the ON clause for
the SQL join that is generated to perform the merge/upate.
To circumvent this problem, modify the SAS/Warehouse Administrator
generated code and add the _TYPE_ column to the ON clause for the SQL
join that performs the merge/update of the OLAP table.
